Berry-Banana Protein Smoothie

My favorite post-workout snack! You won't taste the eggs at all, I promise, just the amazing fruit flavors. Any variety of fruits or fruit flavor caffeine-free herbal tea can be substituted in this recipe.

1 very ripe banana, sliced
1/2 cup strawberries, chopped
1/2 cup blueberries
1 tblsp virgin coconut oil
1 cup blueberry herbal tea (caffeine-free), brewed
2 large eggs or 1/2 cup plain egg protein powder
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
4 ice cubes
ground cinnamon or nutmeg

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
