Some good Buttery cookies that are delicious with a slab of grape jelly :)

8 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon Salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons baking powder
3 cups unsalted butter, softened and cut into cubes
2 Eggs, at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk , at room temperature
1 beaten egg, for the egg wash

Put the flour in a very large bowl; place the salt, sugar, baking powder, and butter in the center of the flour.
With a pastry cutter combine the butter with the rest in the bowl, until you get a consistency of coarse sand.
Make a well in the center and place the eggs along with the vanilla extract; then ad the milk little by little until you
get a dough consistency.
Preheat oven to 400F.
Roll the dough until it is 1/4 inch thick; cut with a donut cutter and place them in a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Brush them with egg wash; Bake for 25 minutes or until golden
