Broccoli Salad with Sunflower Seeds

This salad full of raw vegetables, cranberries, raisins, and sunflower seeds. It is a delicious medley that is a must at any summer picnic.

1 head of broccoli (chopped)
1/2 head of cauliflower (chopped)
1/4 large red onion (diced)
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup craisins
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
3/4 cup matchstick carrots
1/4 cup Miracle Whip
1 tablespoon sugar
Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix until well blended. Best served chilled.

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
