Bug's Famous Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

1/2 cup sugar
1 cup dark brown sugar
3/4 cup butter, room temperature
1/4 cup butter shortening, room temperature
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
2 eggs
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 bag milk chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch. Sift and then whisk together. 3. In a stand mixer, cream butter, shortening and sugars. Add egg, then vanilla and almond extracts. 4. Stir in both bags of chocolate chips. 5. Stir in dry ingredients. Mix until combined, but do not over-mix. 6. Form dough into balls and refrigerate for 30 minutes. 7. Bake on a greased pan for 10-11 minutes. Allow to cool for 3 minutes before removing from pan. 8. Cool completely and store in airtight container. Enjoy!
