Bumgardner Chocolate Chip Cookies

¾ cup Butter flavor Crisco
1 ¼ cups firmly packed light brown sugar
2 Tbsps. Milk
1 Tbsp. Vanilla
1 Egg
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
¾ tsp. baking soda
¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1. Heat the oven to 375 degrees. 2. Combine the butter flavored Crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat on medium speed until creamy. 3. Add the egg and beat until combined. 4. Combine the flour, salt, and baking soda in a separate bowl. Mix into creamed mixture until it is just blended. 5. Stir in chocolate chips. 6. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. 7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes for a chewy cookie. The cookies will appear moist…DO NOT OVERBAKE! 8. Or, bake 11-13 minutes for crisp cookies. 9. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes. Remove to cooling rack. 10. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
