So easy, I have never made homemade biscuits. Always used canned..these are so easy and so much better. I add minced garlic and shredded cheese to the dinner ones, and just leave plain for breakfast.

2 cups self rising flour
1/4 c softened Crisco
3/4 cup plus 2 tbsp buttermilk
2 tbsp melted butter

Mix flour and Crisco together until pea sized or blended well. Add buttermilk and mix together. So easy. I use my countertop mixer with hooks and viola' done! Drop in 1/4 c onto greased pie plate or other shallow dish. Bake at 400 until brown on top, or throw in the oven with dinner and cook until they brown on top. Take them out, brush with melted butter....
