Caramel Corn

This is my mother's recipe. It was always a very special treat for us when Mom made this. We always knew when we saw the note for the milkman to leave cream that this would be made soon.

1 cup sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup light cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

enough popped pop corn to fill a large cookie sheet
Bring to a boil while stirring the sugar, syrup and water. Add 1/2 cup light cream. Cook til hard ball stage, remove from heat and add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Drizzle over popped popcorn and mix
