Chai banana bread

Its only weeks away from fall and I am already pulling out the cozy comforts for cool weather food.( Who am I kidding? I never pt them away : ) )

1/4 butter melted
1 cup brown sugar
1/4/ cup granulated sugar
1 egg
2 bananas mashed
1/2 vanilla yogurt
1tsp vanilla
3/4 cup whole wheat flor
1/4 all prpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cardamom
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4tsp allspice
pinch of black pepper
Pre heat oven 350 In a bowl cream together butter & sugar.Beat in egg ,banana's ,vanilla and yogurt.Then sift in the flour,baking soda and baking powder,also the spices.Mix just until wet and dry are well incorporated.Pour into a prepared 9x5 loaf pan.Bake for 25-30 min,or until a tester comes out clean.Cool on cooling rack.

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
