Cheesy Garlic Pull Apart Bread
What could be better than warm gooey cheese, a little garlic and french bread? There is not a lot that comes to mind. Combining cheese and bread is always okay with me. This takes store-bought french bread and takes it to a whole new level. I could really just be happy eating this bread for dinner. I know it is meant to be paired with a main dish for dinner, but sometimes this becomes my main dish!
1 loaf french bread
8 Tbls. Butter, room temperature
1/3 cup grated parmesan
3 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz. mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
8 Tbls. Butter, room temperature
1/3 cup grated parmesan
3 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz. mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
Preheat oven to 450. In a small bowl combine butter, parmesan and garlic. Make deep, even cuts into bread, about 3/4 inch apart, without cutting through bottom. Spread the butter evenly between the cuts and place a slice of cheese in each as well. Tightly wrap bread in aluminum foil and place on baking sheet. Bake until cheese is melted, about 20-25 minutes. Unwrap and let cool slightly before serving.
