Such an easy dessert that can be served with ice-cream. Have also made with blueberry pie filling and was just as delicious!

1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 or 2 cans of cherry pie filling (the more the better!)
Glaze:
1 cup icing sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 TBs milk
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 or 2 cans of cherry pie filling (the more the better!)
Glaze:
1 cup icing sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 TBs milk
- Grease or line a 15x10x1 or 9x13 pan (depending on how think you would like the crust)
- Cream together butter and sugar, add eggs and beat well. Add extracts and mix well.
- In a separate bowl combine flour and salt and add to the creamed mixture. Mix well until combined.
- Spread 3 cups of the batter into pan. Spread with pie filling. Drop remaining batter on top of pie filling.
- Bake at 350 for 30 - 35 minutes until slightly browned and toothpick comes clean.
- Once cool, combine ingredients for glaze and drizzle over the bars.
