1 package Pillsbury white cake mix (or something similar)
1 1/4 c. rolled oats - divided
1/2 c. butter, softened - divided
1 egg
1 can cherry pie filling
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix cake mix, 6 tablespoons butter, and 1 cup oats until crumbly. 2. Reserve 1 cup crumbles for topping. 3. To the remaining crumbles, add 1 egg and mix until well blended. Press into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. 4. Spread pie filling on crust. 5. In a separate bowl, add remaining 1/4 cup oats, 2 tablespoons butter, nuts and brown sugar to remaining 1 cup cake mixture. Thoroughly combine and sprinkle on top of cherries. 6. Bake in greased 13 x 9 pan for 30-40 minutes.
