This Cherry Swirl Coffee Cake is loaded with sweet, tart cherries in their own syrup swirled through a deliciously moist cake. Who says you can’t have cake for breakfast?

For the cherry filling:
4 cups pitted cherries (fresh or frozen)
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup corn starch
For the cake:
2 and 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
2 and 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cups butter
2 eggs
1 and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
