3/4 cup margarine 3/4 cup shortening 2 cups sugar 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla 2 1/4-2 1/2 c. Flour 3/4 cup Coco 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon soda powdered sugar
cream margarine and shortening add eggs mix add vanilla and dry ingredients scooped into balls rolled in powdered sugar put on cookie sheet press down slightly bake at 350 for 5 to 6 minutes turn bake another 4 minutes don't overbake should puff up and crackle

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
