Bread:
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup apple sauce
2 eggs
2 cups apples, chopped and peeled
1/4 cup buttermilk or milk soured with lemon juice
1 teaspoon almond extract (optional, you could add 1/2 cup nuts too)
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Topping:
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
