Cranberry-Orange Bread In The Crock Pot

When I pulled the Cranberry-Orange bread out of the Crock Pot, I thought it looked like cheesecake! Seriously! The lightly browned crust on the outside and the lightly colored top made it look just like cheese cake. I just knew it had to be good if it came out looking like cheese cake! One of my favorite pies ever! Have you ever asked yourself how cheese cake got it’s name? I mean, I know it’s filled with cheese, but it does NOT look like a cake. 3 cups all-purpose flour
1? cups sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
? cup powdered milk
2 cups hot water
1 egg, beaten
¼ cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons finely grated orange peel
1 cup dried cranberries, chopped
½ cup pecans or almonds, finely chopped (optional)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

¼ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt

2 cups hot water

¼ cup vegetable oil

Grease the bottom of a 4-5 quart slow cooker or line with parchment paper.
