1 small onion chopped
2 cloves garlic crushed
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1 1/2 tsp salt (divided)
1/2 tsp dry parsley
1 - 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 1/2 t basil

2 cups (8 oz) of dry ziti noodles (I used penne)
