Delicious Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

¾ cup roasted red bell pepper, about 1 pound (see notes)
2-15-ounce cans chickpeas or garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
¼ cup tahini paste
2 tablespoons extra virgin oil
1 ½ tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 ½ teaspoon crushed fresh garlic or more
¾ teaspoon smoked paprika or more
¼ teaspoon salt or to taste
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper or more
Warm water as needed
Drain and rinse chickpeas or garbanzo beans. Place in food processor; roasted red peppers, chickpeas or garbanzo beans, tahini paste, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, smoked paprika, salt and cayenne pepper. Pluse for 60 seconds, then blend until smooth; if too thick add warm water a little at a time. Sample to see if you need to add any more seasonings. Place in serving container; chill before stirring. Great served with grilled pita bread, pita chips or crackers.
