Easy homemade ginger biscuits

Produces 10 to 25 biscuits:

110g butter
1 egg
220g sugar
220g self raising flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 to 2 teaspoons ground ginger
1. Melt the butter, and then add the egg. Beat together. 2. Sift the self raising flour, sugar, baking powder, and grround ginger into this mixture and mix thoroughly to produce the dough. 3. Make small dough balls - around 2cm in diameter will do. 4. Place these dough balls well apart on a greased baking tray. 5. Bake at 160C for 20 to 25 minutes. Leave to cool completely before removing them from the baking tray.
