A quick and healthy fall weeknight dinner, packed with nutrients and flavor.

6 ounces farro (I used the 10 minute kind)
chicken broth & water, according to package directions
3 sweet Italian-style chicken sausages
1 Tablespoon butter
1 red onion, diced
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
2 small/medium apples, sliced thinly
