These little bars of goodness are perfect for those times when you told your mom that you would bring dessert to a family function, but totally forgot about it until shortly before it's time to go and you don't have any time to run to the store, so you have to look in your pantry and find something that you can make with the few ingredients that you have available . . . yep, these are totally perfect for times like that! Not that I would know or anything . . . ;)

2 cups graham cracker crumbs
2 cups flaked coconut
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups chocolate chips

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
