Delicious homemade oatmeal cake with a coconut almond topping toasted on top!

1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 1/2 cups boiling water
2 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
For the topping
6 Tbsp butter, room temperature
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup canned milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup nuts
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 1/2 cups boiling water

For the topping
