Grandma’s Thumbprint Cookies

Our Grandma is well known for her Thumbprint Cookies. I used to look forward to our family Christmas party because I knew that her cookies would be there! She always made them with red and green frosting but if you aren’t a frosting fan, you can fill them with your favorite jelly.

½ cup shortening
½ cup brown sugar
2 eggs, separated
1 teaspoon of vanilla
