1 1/4 sticks (10 tablespoons) butter
1/2 cup light Karo corn syrup
1/2 cup honey {you can substitute 1 cup Lyle's Golden Sryrup for Karo and honey}
1 cup (packed) plus 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1 cup Guinness stout
2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/4 cups sour cream
2 eggs
Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
