Hershey Bar Toffee

Yummy and easy toffee recipe using everyone's favorite....Hershey bars!

9 (1.55 oz.) Hershey Candy Bars (no almonds)
1-1/2 c. chopped nuts ( I used walnuts)
2 cubes butter
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. water
Sprinkle 1/2 of nuts (about 3/4 cup) on cookie sheet or jelly roll pan. Place 6 Hershey bars over the nuts. In a medium to large saucepan, melt butter. Add sugar and water to melted butter and cook and stir at a medium heat until medium brown in color. Be careful because it can brown quickly and burn very quickly. Pour mixture over bars. Immediately place 3 remaining Hershey bars on top. Wait about a minute until melted and spread the chocolate covering all the toffee. Sprinkle with remaining chopped nuts. Refrigerate until chocolate is set and then break into bite sized pieces.
