Maple Pear Scones

Full of fresh fruit, maple syrup and a little cinnamon, these Maple Pear Scones are light, flaky and delicious! Extra bonus? That sweet Maple Glaze!

For the scones:
2 1/2 cups - 2 3/4 cups plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
3 tbsp light brown sugar
1 stick unsalted butter, cold and cut into cubes
2 large eggs
3 tbsp maple syrup
3 medium pears, cored and cut into small chunks, peeled if desired
A lightly beaten egg or milk to brush the tops of the scones, optional
For the glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3 tbsp maple syrup
