Marinated Steak with Caramelized Onions

The marinade has a sweet, but hearty flavor with just a touch of A-1 sauce. Goes great with mashed potatoes {oven roasted potatoes are good too . . . } Best of all are the caramelized onions- don’t even think about skipping them!

1-2 pounds sirloin steak or flank steak
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons olive oil (divided use)
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons A.1. steak sauce (or your favorite)
1 large onion, sliced into thick rings (I always do two because we love the onions)
