Microwave Caramel Corn

Easy and quick microwave caramel corn... using secret ingredient. This disappears every time I make it and I always get requests for the recipe.

8 oz Puffed Corn (1 bag of Mike Sells Puffed Corn ) Or 13 cups Popped Popcorn
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup white corn syrup
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 paper grocery sack
Put puffed corn or popcorn in paper grocery bag. Put butter, brown sugar and corn syrup in large, microwave safe bowl. I use a 8 cup glass measuring cup. Microwave 2 minutes on high Stir in baking powder. Microwave 2 more minutes on high. VERY CAREFULLY pour mixture over puffed corn in paper bag. Shake to coat. Fold over top of bag and microwave 2 more minutes....Stopping every 30 seconds to shake corn so nothing scorches. Pour onto waxed paper to cool. Enjoy!
