Coconut bhat is a traditional recipe from Maharashtra prepared with fresh coconut, jaggery and spices mixed in rice.
1 cup rice (preferably long grain)
3/4 cup fresh grated coconut
3/4 cup grated jaggery
1/2 teaspoon saffron strands
9-10 cloves
4 tablespoons ghee
2 cups water
1/4 cup mixed dry fruits and nuts, chopped (raisins, cashewnuts, almonds, chironji and any other nuts of your choice)
3/4 cup fresh grated coconut
3/4 cup grated jaggery
1/2 teaspoon saffron strands
9-10 cloves
4 tablespoons ghee
2 cups water
1/4 cup mixed dry fruits and nuts, chopped (raisins, cashewnuts, almonds, chironji and any other nuts of your choice)
1. To begin making the Maharashtrian Narali Bhaat Recipe, first wash the rice thoroughly, drain the water and keep it aside for 45 minutes.
