Navajo Fried Bread

3 cups flour
1 ¼ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 1/3 cup water
Oil for cooking
Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl. Slowly add water while mixing. Continue to mix until it is firm enough to roll, dip hands in flour to prevent stickiness. Divide dough into medium size balls. Heat oil in a deep frying skillet to 375 degree, hot enough to brown but not to blacken bread. Roll dough into the shape of a thick tortilla. Fry until golden brown on each side.
