Nutella Sticky Buns

After testing and editing this recipe a few times, it’s now perfect and ready for it’s LBP close-up. Yes, it takes a lot of time. Yes, it involves active dry yeast. But the end result is a breakfast that is like a doughnut stuffed with Nutella and topped with nutty, brown sugar goodness.

For the dough
1 package (2 1/4 tsp) dry yeast
1 tsp sugar, plus 1/2 cup
1/2 cup milk
1 stick unsalted butter
1 tsp kosher salt
2 large eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting

For the filling:
1 stick unsalted butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
2/3 cup roughly chopped pecans or walnuts
1 container of Nutella (or other chocolate spread)
