Peanut Brittle by Karen

Recipe contributed to our wedding by: Karen Franklin (Jessie\\\'s Cousin). This recipe was passed to Karen from her mother, Ruth.

1 ½ Cup Spanish Raw Peanuts (with red skins)
1 ½ Cup Sugar
1 Cup White Corn Syrup (Karo)
3 Tablespoons Butter
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1. Combine sugar and syrup in medium size sauce pan. Bring to boil and stir constantly. 2. Put in peanuts cooking and stirring until mixture turns golden color. 3. Take off stove add butter and baking soda stirring until butter is melted. 4. Put in well-greased (I use butter) 12 inch round pan (I use a pizza pan). 5. Let cool then break into pieces.
