Peppermint Vanilla Candy Cane Cupcakes

I am not a huge cupcake fan, however once you top these incredibly moist cupcakes with this tasty peppermint vanilla butter cream frosting these cupcakes become undeniably delicious!

Ingredients
3 C flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 tsp almond extract
1 1/2 C unsalted butter, room temp
1 1/2 C sugar
5 eggs, room temp
1 C whole milk
1 box small candy canes, crushed

Frosting Ingredients:

1 C soft unsalted butter
4 + C powder sugar
4 TBSP heavy whipping cream
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp peppermint extract
1 bag of peppermint bits

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
