Light and moist on the inside, with a lovely browned, crisp exterior and incredible flavor! Here are some great mix-in ideas as well! 1/4 cup King Arthur Flour Cinnamon Flavor Bites OR 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips OR 1/2 cup Maine blueberries OR 1 cup diced bananas OR 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 large eggs, yolks and whites separated
1-1/8 cups milk (buttermilk, soy milk, almond milk, regular milk)
5 tablespoons melted butter or vegetable oil (I use vegetable oil, little healthier)
1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour (approximately 6.4 ounces)
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 heaping teaspoons baking powder
1/4 cup malted milk powder (or 3 tablespoons granulated sugar total)
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, but good to use if not using buttermilk)
