This is an awesome way to get that steakhouse style steak at home for a much better price.

2, 6-8 oz steaks of your choice
salt to taste
pepper to taste
1/3 cup butter

Preheat oven to 400.
Generously season the steaks on each side with salt and pepper.
Heat a frying pan over medium high heat. Put half the butter into the pan and melt. Place steaks in the pan and sear on each side, about 3-4 minutes, or until there is a brown crust on each side. Spoon butter over the steaks.
Remove pan from burner and place into the oven.
The remainder of the cooking time will depend on how thick your steaks are and how done you want them. 8-10 minutes will usually get you a medium steak.
In the last minute of cooking, place the remainder of the butter on the steaks.
Let rest a minute of two once removed from oven, then serve.
