Savory Winter Beef Stew

This is a comforting and flavorful stew that tastes almost as good as Mom used to make :)

3 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 pounds cubed beef stew meat
1 med onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can/bottle of beer
3 1/2 cups beef broth
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon paprika
4 potatoes, cubed
4 carrots, sliced
1 cup peas
2 sprigs Thyme
2 sprigs Rosemary
finely chopped fresh parsley
