This quick and easy homemade enchilada sauce adds flavor to Mexican dishes with half the salt of the store-bought varieties!

1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup flour
1 can diced tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp oregano
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 onion, diced
1 Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp + 2 tsp chili powder
salt and pepper to taste
