A hearty and healthy meatless version of the American classic.

4 cups eggplant, peeled and diced
1 cup onion, chopped
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 cup stout beer
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons tomato paste
8 ounces tomato sauce, low sodium
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 whole chipotle chili, seeded and chopped
1 teaspoon adobo sauce from can of chiles
4 whole hamburger buns, whole grain
