Easy chicken and rice soup made with spicy tomatoes

10 c. chicken broth
1 c. rice, cooked
2 cans tomatoes & green chilies (10 oz. each)
2 c. chopped cooked chicken
1/4 c. lime juice
1 c. chopped cilantro
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1 tbsp. garlic
2 tbsp. butter.
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 c. shredded cheese
