We are starting to make plans for our family Halloween party. These fun Spider Web Sugar Cookies will definitely be a part of the celebration. The kids love these because they can help decorate them. We used our soft sugar cookie recipe and topped them with delicious buttercream frosting. These cookies are perfect for your Halloween party!

1 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sour cream
4 cups flour
Frosting
1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
3 tablespoons shortening
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
Black food coloring
Orange food coloring

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
