Nothing says summer like squash! What better way to enjoy it then with this simple, less than 10 minutes to prepare saute.

2 pounds summer squash, rinsed and sliced with a julienne slicer or cut into matchsticks
1 red onion, thinly sliced
salt
pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
optional 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
