Sweet and Savory Honey Shrimp over Rice

This recipe is delicious and pretty easy to make so it was come in handy during one of those busy weeknights too. It just takes a few minutes to whip up some instant rice and of course shrimp cooks very quickly as well. The honey sauce is sweet and tangy and perfect for the shrimp. One thing to note; if you’re going to make this, do not substitute miracle whip or anything similar in place of the mayonnaise. It really messes with the flavor.

1 1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon butter
1 chicken bullion cube
1 1/2 cup instant white rice
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
3 tablespoons honey
1.5 tablespoons milk
1 large egg (beaten)
1/2 cup corn starch
1lb large shrimp (peeled, deveined, tails left on)
1/4 cup olive oil (for frying)
