Dutch oven chili con carne is comfort food. We all need it. It warms your house, your stomach, and your heart, and is super easy to make. It's a one-pot dish that requires minimal cleanup.

2 lbs lean ground beef
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
2 shallots, or 1 medium onion ( chopped )
1 bell pepper ( chopped )
2 cloves garlic ( chopped )
2 c beef stock ( or 1 c beef stock and 1 c red wine )
2 16-oz cans kidney beans ( drained and rinsed )
1 28-oz can plum tomatoes
2 Tbsp chili powder
1 Tbsp dried oregano
1 Tbsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp ground cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
Toppings, like shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, sliced scallions, Saltine crackers, sliced jalapenos, etc

This Pasta e Fagioli is one of my all time favorite soups and one of my most popular recipes! It's comforting, hearty and absolutely delicious!

One pot meals are the best. If you need to make a dinner for scouts, youth or just a bunch of hungry children – this is a great one to try! It is warm, flavorful and super delicious. It’s a guaranteed winner.

1 T oil

Dutch Oven Chili

Whether you are in the back yard or out in the mountains somewhere, it is always good to have an easy to make, hearty meal. And this chili is a family favorite!. It is so simple and the ingredients are easy to just “grab and go” to your destination. So make up a batch, sit around the camp fire and make some memories!

1 lb. ground beef
2 cans pork and beans
1 can kidney beans
2 cans canned tomatoes ( petite diced )
1 pkg. chili seasoning mix (below)
1 beef bullion cube
Seasoning Mix
2 T. flour
2 T. instant minced onion
1 (½ tsp.) chili powder
1 tsp. seasoned salt
½ tsp. crushed ( dried, red pepper )
½ tsp. instant minced garlic
½ tsp. sugar
½ tsp. ground cumin
