1 heaping cup peeled and finely-diced tart apple ( I like to use Granny Smith )
1 tsp. lemon juice
Topping:
1/4 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
Bars:
1/2 c. butter ( softened )
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
For drizzling:
1/3 c. white chocolate chips ( melted )

It\\\'s hard to beat a homemade spiced Apple Pie! This is one of my most favorite fall desserts!
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/8 c. shortening
Filling for 9\" pie:
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Dash of salt
6 c. peeled ( thinly-sliced tart apples )
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/8 c. shortening
Filling for 9\" pie:
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
