Teriyaki Chicken Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing

Teriyaki marinade
6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 head lettuce, chopped
6 green onions with stalks, chopped
1 c. green pepper, chopped
1 c. carrots, shredded
1 medium can pineapple tidbits
1 large can mandarin oranges
12 cherry tomatoes, halved
1 pkg. slivered almonds for garnish

Poppy Seed Dressing:
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1 1/12 tsp. onion juice
1 c. salad oil
1 tsp. mustard
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. poppy seeds
Marinate chicken breasts overnight. Grill on barbecue grill and slice diagonally into strips. Chill. Layer salad on each plate beginning with lettuce, then onions, green pepper, carrots, pineapple, oranges, tomatoes, and chicken strips. Drizzle 1/4 to 1/3 cup of poppy seed dressing over and garnish with almonds. Serves 6.
