Tofu Galettes

1 1/2 Cup firm tofu crumbled
2 french shallots minced
3/4 cup oatmeal (oatmeal regular)
2 tablespoon flour
3 tablespoon water
1 beaten egg
3 tablespoon tamari
2 teaspoon mustard
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 teaspoon salt of celery
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
3 tablespoon olive oil
STEP 1 In a medium bowl, mix the tofu, the shallots, the oatmeal, flour, water, the beaten egg, the Tamari sauce, mustard and spices. Stir well. Leave the mixture to stand a couple of minutes in the refrigerator. STEP 2 Divide the mixture into 8 portions. Shape round patties 1/4 inch thick (approximately). STEP 3 In a saucepan, heat the oil on medium heat. Cook the patties a few minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown.
