½ cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs plus one egg yolk, room temperature
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1½ cups all purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
1½ teaspoons baking powder

½ cup unsalted butter, softened
