In the town where we grew up in, there was a little restaurant that served ham, cheddar, and apple butter sandwiches. Sadly, this little restaurant was only in business for less than a year. I honestly donâ€™t even remember the name of it. Anyway, In the short time it was open Emily and I ate there several times and ordered these sandwiches. We loved them! Apple, Ham, & Cheddar Melts

Ingredients2 sliced bread ( 2 slices artisan bread )
1 to taste brie cheese, melted
1/4 pound sliced ham ( maple or honey ham, sliced VERY thin (pretty much shaved) )
2 tablespoons apple fruit butter ( 2-3 Tbsp. apple butter )
1 1/2 ounces apples ( 4-5 Gala apple slices, sliced thin (you can use Fuji or Pink Lady apples too) )
2 ounces white cheddar cheese
1 to taste butter
Directions?Spread Brie cheese evenly over one slice of bread. On that same slice, layer ham, apple butter, apples, and cheddar cheese. Top with remaining slice or bread.
?Spread butter over the outside of the sandwich and grill in a skillet over medium-low heat as if making a grilled cheese sandwich. Serve hot.
