Ingredients

1 Kg – Raw mangoes

250 gms – Seedless dates

500 Gms – jaggery or Sugar

2 – Garlic pods

6 to 7 – Green chillies

3 to 4 – Bay leaves

10 to 15 – Whole black pepper

3 Tsp – Red chilly powder

3 Tsp – Roasted cumin powder

Salt to taste

1 Tbsp – oil 2 to 3 – Dried red chillies
Wash ,peel and cut the mangoes into small pieces and keep aside .Peel and chop the garlic .Cut the chillies and the dates in small pieces . Heat oil in a pan and add the bay leaves ,black pepper , dried red chillies and garlic ,fry for a minute .Add the cut mangoes ,dates , green chillies and the jaggery together and cook on high flame till the jaggery melts completely. Now add red chilly powder salt ,cumin powder and cook till it dries up completely .( You may have to adjust the sweetness and the salt according to your taste )
