Apple-Pear Galette

A beautiful rustic free-form pie. It's easy to make and it tastes fabulous!

1 rolled pie crust (try our all-butter flaky crust, all-shortening flaky crust, or use a storebought crust)
1 large apple (or 2 small)
1 large pear (or 2 small)
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 beaten egg, or 2 tablespoons milk, for wash (optional)
1 tablespoon granulated sugar, for topping (optional)
1 tablespoon apricot jam, for garnish (optional)
