Simple, perfect, warm comfort food. From a true Texas Lady, too!

1 stick (1/2 cup) butter or margarine
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup milk
1 quart OR 2 cans of fruit, drained (your choice) I use sugar-free
